Buck Mountain Maple Syrup derives its sweet, rich flavors from minerals in the rocks beneath the trees on our 240 acre mountain sugarbush.
Once the sap is collected from the trees on our mountain, it takes about forty gallons of sap to produce one gallon of maple syrup, through a multifaceted and intensive process of boiling.
On Buck Mountain the trees are tapped by the first full Moon in February, and sugaring season is finished by mid April. With the weather deciding how much sap will run, syrup is truly a gift from the trees and a precious commodity.
We hope you savor our syrup, and stop by the sugarhouse if you're ever out our way during sugaring season.
